The third edition of the conference Montpellier Infectious Diseases, MID2014, held on the 27th and 28th of November 2014 and with the support of the "Infectious Diseases" axis of Pôle Rabelais is intended for researchers, clinicians and industrial partners in the Montpellier region, involved in the field of infectious diseases and their etiologic agents, including viruses, bacteria and protozoan parasites. Its aim is to present the existing regional potential in the field of infectious diseases, keep track of the progress and advances of each field, but also and especially the 2014 edition will be a new opportunity to promote interconnections and collaborations between research projects to address the major challenges imposed by the evolution of infectious diseases. Thus, this new edition of MID, dedicated to "translational research in infectious diseases" will particularly highlight the bidirectional link between fundamental and applied research. Held over two days, the conference will feature world-renowned speakers. It will also include thirty selected presentations as well as a poster session.
The participation of students eager to discover the extent of local research and expand their vision on their discipline is strongly encouraged.
